Developing an environmental stewardship program for Synergy staff

Tandem Codesign were engaged to help understand what “environmental maturity” means for a company like Synergy and develop an environmental stewardship program. A key focus for Synergy’s Environmental Strategy is to increase the average environmental maturity from 'Developing' to 'Established'.

Exploring Good Sammy brand relevance in the face of an informal reuse economy

The aim of this project included growing and protecting Good Sammy’s reputation, understanding and expanding their customer base, reducing illegal dumping behaviour, improving product production, creating employment opportunities for people living with disabilities and finally, understanding the needs of their customers.

This project represents a holistic human-centred approach to community development, with a focus on sustainability and long-term well-being. Developing innovative outreach programs and organisational designs with Scitech

A project with Scitech developing strategies and organisational designs that would enable them to take STEM into communities to expand their impact on target audiences, especially youth, females, Indigenous persons, people in regional and remote Western Australia and people in low socio-ecomonic areas.

Re-identifying the Muja Power Station with The Town of Collie, Western Australia

A team of six designed concepts to share the significance of the Muja Power Station amidst its closure of Stage C in 2024, and its complete closure in 2035. The aim was to develop concepts that would reach stakeholders of Muja, the town of Collie, the whole of WA and beyond. The main focus of the project became how this design team and Collie could be involved in a co-design process to help them in this transition between being reliant on the Muja Power Station, to a more sustainable future in renewable resources.

Lowering Emissions with the Department of Transport, Western Australia

Developing strategies for lowering emissions in WA’s public transport sector and working towards achieving the Western Australian Government’s 2050 target of zero emissions. Our strategies aim to co-design an information system that will educate individuals on how they can reduce their emissions and overall impact through making sustainable travel decisions.


Exploring Reuse Retail Innovation with The Salvation Army, Singapore

A project with The Salvation Army in Singapore to form strategies to change the negative stigma around second-hand shopping within the culture. The strategies aim to re-educate the public, encourage customer interaction and help to rebrand The Salvation Army, with the intention of promoting their community services and to inspire positive change.

Re-invigorating the Discoverland Space with Scitech,  Western Australia

With Scitech noticing that some of their learning spaces were becoming outdated, leading to a decline in attendance, this multidisciplinary team of designers developed strategies and suggestions to reinvigorate the Discoverland space at Scitech.
